Train Travel is a unique way of traveling. There are trains through the Rockie Mountains and across Canada and the US to the Euro Star from Europe to the UK.
In Canada travelling by train can be a vacation in itself as it travels through the Rockies and across Canada stopping in places like Banff and Jasper to see the sites. Some options have you staying at Hotels by night and continuing you journey the next day. Other options have you sleeping in berths on the train. The cross Canada trains have sightseeing domes for perfect viewing of the scenery around you.
In Europe and Britain a variety of train passes are available and are a speedy way to travel from destination to destination. Passes can range from a day pass to several days in a 2 month period to passes for travel within a particular country.
What should be noted the train passes usually have to be purchased in advance of your trip and cannot be purchased directly on arrival in a particular country. This is particularly the case in UK and Europe.
