Our amazing Amazon voyage calls on 10 wildly diverse tropical islands and still has time to explore the Caribbean. The first week is devoted to Caribbean gems such as chic St. Barts, where you might shop for French perfumes and haute couture. Regatta then spends a full week cruising the Amazon, where the mighty river and surrounding rain forests reveal the natural wonders of their flora and fauna. Its cultural treasures will delight you as well, including the ancient Tapajos ceramics in Santarem's Town Hall Museum and the luxurious Opera House in Manaus, a city once known as "The Paris of the Tropics." Back in the Caribbean, Barbados flaunts its English roots in the exquisite shops on Broad Street selling fine crystal and Scottish woolens. Diverse Virgin Gorda also boasts a British heritage. Don't miss The Baths, a boulder-strewn natural phenomenon with excellent swimming.
